Building a Culture of Quality
No one likes to use software that has defects, but yet so many software development teams produce buggy code. Is it not possible to create bug-free code? It might actually not be possible to produce applications that handle every single possible edge case; but with the right emphasis, we can build software that does what is expected, with relative ease, and relative speed. The solution is not to throw more money and/or developers at the problem – plenty of very large software development teams have buggy software. The solution is to build a culture of quality within not just your team, but within your company.
